Structural Engineer

Have you had enough of life in a big city?  Is the daily grind of the tube getting too much?  Have you dreamed of possibly raising a family in a rural location in East Anglia with access to the beautiful coast nearby?

Look no further!

Our client is a nationally known firm of consulting structural engineers with over 50 years’ experience.  Their office in Suffolk is seeking a structural engineer to strengthen the team, as their project orderbook expands.  The firm benefits from having a London office, so you could retain a presence on London projects if this is important to you.

There is potential to discuss assistance with relocation for the right candidate.

Their projects range from a small single beam for a private client, to large commercial / residential schemes in London and other locations.

The successful structural engineer will work on new build and refurbishment schemes, including interesting Heritage work and projects such as barn conversions and timber frame structures.

The ideal structural engineer will have excellent client facing skills and the ability to attend site meetings to discuss requirements, understand how the building is working and recommend what needs to be done.

You will work with full autonomy on your own projects, from initial site visit to completion.

Whilst they do benefit from up to date software including CADS, Tekla and Tedds, the ability to do hand calculations will be an advantage.

If this role is of interest, and a life in the country is what you have been looking for – send your CV to to be considered and let’s get your new future started!
