Management Accountant - Part time
£50,000 - £65,000 per annum, pro-rata
London - flexible working
We are working on an exciting Management Accountant role for a leading architecture practice who specialises in high quality design in the public and social sectors, retail, private houses and hospitality. This is a part time role 3 - 4 days and will be on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the variety of finance duties.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for financial management to support business growth and net profit
- Ensure visibility of project financial performance reporting, profitability and any variation from budgets
- Provide strategic reporting and analysis monthly
- Work alongside the Directors regarding staffing resources
- Oversee the production and management of accounts, monthly reports to the Directors and the external accountant
- Create and maintain company budgets
- Forecast long-term revenue streams and manage cost base
- Closely monitor project profitability
- Oversee the effective running of purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, bank account administration, cash management, and an effective credit control process
- Oversee the payroll run with the outsourced payroll provider and manage the pension scheme
- Completion and submission of VAT returns
- Data Analyst
Key Skills and professional qualifications required:
- Proven experience within a similar role in professional services or people-driven businesses
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. accounting, business or economics)
- Qualified with a recognised accounting body, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or AAT
- Advanced excel user and experience of commercial analyst
- Experienced in producing consolidated financial information for management
- Knowledge of Quickbooks is an advantage
- M&A experience is an advantage
