Adrem are currently supporting a highly reputable organisation who are looking for a motivated and skilled Industrial Designer to join their award-winning Design studio in London. As part of the global team, you will be involved in all stages of the product development process from concept to manufacture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a degree educated Junior Designer, who holds 3 years industry experience, to join a supportive team of 10 designers and develop their expertise further.

You will be involved in:

  • Concept design & development.
  • Assisting in user research, generating ideas fed from user / market insights.
  • Working alongside the Design and Tech teams in creation of concept ideas to help produce initial prototypes for evaluation.
  • Assisting to develop product concepts, combining technical designs and constraints.
  • Creating concept visuals / renderings to communicate ideas to the project team's new product development process.
  • Attending workshops and weekly meetings with PMO and technical teams.
  • Working with suppliers to communicate design intent and manage cost and time constraints.
  • Working within the Design and Engineering team to uphold brand intent and realise concept visions.
  • Creation of on-product graphics (2D artworks) for both NPD and promos.
  • Providing support and input on NPD UX/UI development and thinking.
  • Developing product peripherals (brushes, attachments, stands etc).

What experience do you need?

  • Proficient in 3D CAD - Solidworks / PTC Creo.
  • Interpreting briefs and communicating ideas with confident hand sketching skills.
  • High knowledge of 2D Design packages - in particular, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / After Effects.
  • Ability to create high quality visualisation - Keyshot rendering / animation.
  • Ability to manage projects and external suppliers.
  • To be self-motivated, with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Ability to understand technical constraints when creating designs for our product range.
