The Interior Designer will contribute to the development of HTA’s Interiors business and will have a strong design and technical ability.
Our client works across the UK, and occasionally internationally, with over 200 staff based mostly in our four studios in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol.
Our client are architects, planners, master planners, landscape architects, interior designers, graphic designers, illustrators, leaders in engagement and sustainability specialists, all working in collaboration to design great projects for the clients and communities they serve.
Under the direction of the Interiors Lead, the Interior Designer will:
Build and progress interiors concept and design development on projects.
Coordinate projects in collaboration with internal teams, delegating and overseeing drawings from other team members.
Deliver drawing packages with meticulous detail and knowledge.
Advise on material/product specifications and manage samples.
Visualise concepts through mood boards, illustrative elevations, and working with the team to create realistic representations of the design.
Liaise and manage external consultants or contractors effectively.
Liaise with clients - having a direct dialogue with the client to deliver design.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Interior Design, or equivalent relevant qualification.
Proven experience working in a similar Interior Designer role is essential.
A passion for and experience of working within the residential sector and of residential interior design.
Experience of working directly with clients, contractors and multiple design teams.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
An understanding of the design process and ability to manage/deliver this from concept to completion.
Highly creative with the ability to produce concepts, presentations and present with confidence.
Ability to provide creative solutions whilst ensuring technical requirements are competently met.
Ability to produce drawings at all stages of a project.
Commitment to implementing HTA’s Design Standards and Management Systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate confidently by telephone, email and in person with a wide range of people.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships with colleagues and clients.
A team player with a can-do attitude, with a high degree of flexibility and the ability to respond pro actively.
Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and drawing.
First class attention to detail, consistency and accuracy.

Strong IT skills, with a good grasp of Microsoft Office software and Adobe Suite (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop) and a high level of AutoCAD and SketchUp. Revit skills are desirable.
