A digital, architectural visualisation studio based in Bermondsey is looking for a Head of Planning Production, to head up their Planning Production team. This is a pivotal role for the business, and they are looking for an experienced people manager with technical knowledge within a similar business to lead their busy and fast paced team.
The role of Head of Planning Production is about leadership and line management of the planning department. They are looking for someone who can ensure the team is operating efficiently and effectively by working to standards under set processes and protocols, following best practice.
Quality and accuracy assurance is vital in this area due to the nature of work being undertaken.
Personal growth and development of the team is key and they would like someone who is able to assist people in progressing their career and realising their potential. It’s key to be aware of your surroundings, to review the work and how it is being done, to give feedback, whether positive or negative and encourage or inspire them to do great things. You need to be the one to initiate change if something is not working and manage this through using the team below you. Hence why this is both a combination of leadership and management.
Capacity management is critical to ensure they can deliver on the demand of the work presented, which involves active engagement on resourcing, forecasting and the growth of the department and company.
Although no direct resourcing is required to achieve the above, you will need to be able to handle clashes, negotiate with stakeholders and resolve issues in this area where conflict arises.
Some form of industry knowledge is a must in order to be able to understand, input and advise on the work that is done. This is focused on scoping the right approach and understanding nuances with the requests but ensuring that we stay true to their methodology.
It will involve getting to grips with industry standards such as the LVMF, LVIA working practises and the verified views methodology.
