An iconic, luxury retail group are looking for a Design Coordinator to work within their Store Design Team in their London headquarters. This is an exciting time to join as they are experiencing growth and this is a brand-new position, so is a real opportunity to make the role your own.

Responsibilities
- Manage collation and production of compartment/department design guidelines.
- Provide some CAD support when required to support wider team
- Co-ordinate and liaise with other key areas - Facilities, Project Management Office
- Conduct brand design briefings as required with the support of the Project Manager and Buyer
- Analyse and review design packages, providing feedback and comment. You will be responsible for presenting the brand concepts to directors/stakeholders for concept approval
- Manage the Approvals of brand shopfit projects through concept and detailed design stages:
- Concept: Ensuring projects adhere to Store & sustainable guidelines
- Liaise with brands throughout concept, detail, and design phases through to project completion
- Detail: Sign off detail design packages for installation
- Ensure timely and sufficient design information is passed to Project Manager and internal teams for the delivery project delivery
- Work closely with the project management and internal teams to ensure design integrity is maintained/coordinated at each stage of the design and delivery process
- Participate in post-project reviews and design analysis
- Manage the evolution and communication of key design specifications
- Ensure designs meet or exceed defined quality standards and compliance with requirements of legislation and/or external authorities
- Work to defined project timescales and be conscious of budgets, with clear communication to key stakeholders on project progress
- Carry out site visits during project installation period
- Encourage design innovation and creativity through research trips
- Maintain communication plan for the design stage of projects
- Work effectively with Design Manager and Design Coordinators to maintain a coordinated team with clear focus
The Ideal Candidate
- In depth knowledge of Autocad, Adobe creative suite Indesign & Photoshop and Microsoft office suite
- Other design related packages an advantage: Sketchup
- Innovative and highly commercial design approach - able to develop and implement new ideas in cost effective ways
- Excellent design oversight, with good attention to detail
- Solution focused and creative thinker, with a passion for design, and sustainability within design
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Time management
- Good interpersonal, communication and relationship skills
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure on many diverse projects
- Knowledge of technical aspects of construction practice, joinery and practical site experience
- Hand sketching skills

- Experience in a similar role within a retail environment & understanding of retail project lifecycle
