The successful candidate will understand the strategic importance of BIM while being actively engaged in leading large complex projects and possess the critical technical and interpersonal skills needed to deliver these projects effectively. They will be the champion for BIM in the studio and work closely with other Digital Leaders across the firm to support firm-wide Digital initiatives and align methodologies, standards and best practices. This position offers extensive opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, fast-paced collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the advancement of BIM within the studio

Oversee BIM leadership and model management for the studio

Directly lead the BIM process for larger or more complex projects

Ensure every project has sufficient BIM process oversight

Mentor developing talent within your studio

Ensure industry and firm wide compliance to BIM Standards

Be the in-studio primary contact for technical/workflow/file maintenance/application support and advice for our primary BIM platforms

Oversee training and education of staff around digital tools

Participate in staff recruitment and resourcing

Represent the studio as a member of the firm wide Digital team

Contribute toward firm standards

Represent the firm to external clients, contractors and consultants

Explore future technologies and workflows, including evaluation of new tools and add-ins as part of NBBJ Digital initiatives

Facilitate the allocation of hardware and planning network solutions to leverage project teams

Skills and Qualifications - Required

Minimum 7 years of architecture experience

BArch - Bachelor of Architecture - or equivalent degree

Proven experience delivering large and complex projects using Revit

Advanced/Expert level knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture

Ability to identify and communicate areas where skills, tools and processes could be improved

Passion for sharing knowledge and a demonstrated ability for clearly communicating complex technical ideas to designers, managers and clients

Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment

Skills and Qualifications - Preferred

Licensure (Architect)

Masters of Architecture

Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit

Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple software platforms

Experience and passion for 'Computational BIM' through using Dynamo or other scripting and programming languages

Workflow knowledge in associated Autodesk products including: FormIt, Insight360, Navisworks, 3dsMax, etc.

Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper a plus
